Making a ring

After hearing great things about a new silver and palladium alloy I decided to give it a try. The palladium makes the material much nicer to work in whilst also giving it much better wearing properties. The hardness is at least double that of sterling silver (which is renowned for being very soft.

I had a lovely pear cut citrine floating around so thought I would make a nice high setting, creating an interesting cocktail style ring.

This "clean working" metal also allows fusing of joins which is fantastic for extra strength.
